ok pretty much there are no aftermarket larger throttle bodies for the ka motors, and even if there was theyd be hundreds of dolllars. so i came up with a solution. why not buy an oem thottle body off a car that came with a V8. ex. mustang, corvette, camaro, etc. getting it to bolt up wont be a problem, just go to a machine shop and have them make you an adapter plate. but my question lies with the tps (throttle position sensor). would the tps off a v8 throttle body work with the KA's ecu if you hardwired the tps wires coming out of the new throttle body to the oem nissan wires? or will the ecu just go crazy because of the tps not matching the car? any help would be appreciated. thank you.

I dont know whether or not the stock TB is actually restricting anything and you certainly dont want to go too big, but this might be doable. Most 3 wire TPS sensors work one of 2 ways. They are potientiometers with a 5 volt input signal. The reference wire sends a signal to the computer to let it know where the throttle plate is sitting. Anywhere from 4.5 to 5 volts might be WOT while something right at or close to 0v would be idle, and it can also be the other way around. The middle wire is usually the reference wire, i believe, but you should be able to figure that out with a nice digital multimeter. You need to solder the connections really well and reset your computer.

You might look at a nissan v6 TB though, because that might be closer to the right size and you may not have to change the plug at all. Just a thought!
