Hey guys, just got another HB today. Its in BAD shape. It was given to me. As ya'll know i have an '87 already. The new one is a '90. No motor or trans. I know I have alot of work to do it so I was thinking of putting a Chevy V8 in it. Has anyone heard of anybody doing that? I know its not the Nissan way but the truck is F-ed up already and I am a muscle car guy at heart. What do you guys think? Let me know. Feel free to thrash me if you like. I'm not scared.

it's been done, i'm considering an RB20, SR20DET or even F20C [s2000] I'm still undecided. As long as your pockets are full anything is possible

I'm in the process of building a D21 Pathy (93). The original plan was to fit my turboed VH45 into it but I have the motor sitting in the chassis with the diffs in place. The problem I have is that to allow the wheel travel i want up front and have the motor low enough, it will have to sit trough the firewall by about 6". I am currently re-assessing and may change tack towards an RB25-30det (RB30 block with RB25 head). I only want about 550 to 600hp so an easy goal for an RB. Also the straight 6 will allow more room for the hydraulics to runt he winch that is being fitted.

My project also involves 18" travel coilovers all round and a full rollcage / space frame maintaining the factory chassis and it will be road legal.Check out the Feb 09 ROTM for my old truck to see what I building it to replace.
