i was curious if anyone has done the swap to the VH41 or if anyone has been bold enough to try it here in the states...i know it exists over seas so im curious as to whether or not it possible to do over here and what would be needed to make it happen...though twin turbo J30s are very rare i have yet to hear of anyone doing the VH41 swap...aside from fabbing new motor mounts i wonder if the ecu would have to be remapped...regardless im keeping my J for an extremely long time but i just dont know what to do with the motor since i dont want to turbo it...i was thinking port and polish the head with bigger cams and injectors...already fabbing headers and true high flow intake...definately going to go with level 10 transmission...either JET or JWT ecu...so what next...any ideas???or screw everything and drop the V8 in???

ha very funny scott...i already own a house here in Sugar Land...im like 20 minutes from houston and have a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom with garage and pool...plus my neighborhood is great...ive got an electrician on one side, a plumber/carpenter or the other, and a mechanic and a US marshall across the street...cant complain u know....but seriously do u think the swap would be better or cheaper than everything else i plan on doing???

The J30 was sold in JDM with a VH41DE as an option.

-- It would be an awesome project with an astronomical price. I've looked into doing it, well I didn't look too far, parts alone would break me. If you do it, props and the very best of luck to you.

wheres the individuality in that???that would be too easy...i need something that will keep me occupied and out of trouble...see down here in houston when we get bored we like to drink and well after a while that can get pretty expensive...id rather dump all that money into the J and see what i come up with...im also buying my fiance either an I30 or G20...havent decided yet...its entirely up to her but you best believe that thing aint gonna be stock for long either...what can i say...im filipino...its in my blood...LOL

With that reasoning, why not go straight for a BMW M5? or some AMG Mercedes?

M5 and the AMG are still rwd....and a lot more than what you could get a used G35x for

I'm with you on the V8 swap, only more along the lines of an LS1. I would keep it quiet and stealthy.
