Just gotta finish some bodywork and kit fitment and then it goes for paint!!

Almost had it running 2 nights ago but it turns out the VH41 coils will not work with the VH45 harness I am using. Off to teh inkyard today and it should run tonight!

The low down:

Ings+1 R-spec front bumper, Japanese Kouki lights, J-land grille

Sorry about grainy darker pics, cam isnt good with low light.

The bumper is mocked in place in all pics, but better in the later ones.

Here a few pics of the latest near finished car from our shop. I don't think the owner is a member of NICO.

Heh, pink roll cage!!

Let's not leave out my daily with some Z33 wheels, hahaha

Very nice work indeed. You know you are crazy, right?

WHat a fit in that little compartment, and further more, whats up with the core support in the front? Was the chassis in an accident sometime in the past or did you just have a different color in the front?

To each his own.

Good luck with the swap. The first start up and the noises that will follow should be worth the effort.

and that's with another deciliter of displacement. The U.S. doesn't have a monopoly on good V8s (granted, I wouldn't call any Ford engine 'good')

Thanks for all the comments guys. I'll try to get to everyones questions.

First, the core support I am using is from a S14 Silvia front clip, just to make mounting the S14 headlights easier. Just haven't painted it yet.

I have a Z33 transmission that you can see in the background in one of the pictures. Adapter plate is at machine shop and should be finished soon.
Hypertek wrote:omg.. not another engine swap on a car with stock suspension and brakes... hope you guys are upgrading that soon, otherwise that car is straight poser ville.
Wilwood 4 piston 13 inch brakes in front and Z32 twin piston rears, suspension has not been finalized. This car is NOT a daily driver. It is pretty much a racecar, so I might cut the springs and get some good photos of it to start sending to potential sponsors. Even with cut springs though it wouldn't drive horrible because the car is insanely light now.

For weight and distribution, it should be very good actually. This engine weighs about 100-150 lbs more than a KA, but if you look in the engine bay you will notice a lot of things are not there. Battery is in backseat, power-steering is electric and is being mounted in the backseat. No A/C compressor, lines, condensor etc.

All the wiring and fuseboxes are now inside the car. NOTHING under the dash anymore, and up front is only a trimmed down bumper support. Once the transmission is in (about 40lb heavier than an s-chassis transmission) then I expect to have actually better weight distribution than a stock 240sx.

Because I don't want to put a Nissan V8 into an American car.

Very nice, the car looks great. Ter-Tech has some pretty awsome stuff. Your BMW down in Indy kicked some butt. I was down there in Indy for the driftshow off and drove the car in my sig.

Just blatant curiosity but how much did the engine and transmission swap cost you altogether? How much modification did you have to make to the engine bay and transmission tunnel? Finally why go with an S13 and not an S14?

I like it, its original and it'll be able to pass emissions because the engine is on the DMV books as opposed to the SR and RB blocks. I'm just waiting for someone to drop a 350Z engine into a 240.

Yeah, its some ugly old pic..

I wanna see what freethinker's looks like when he's done.Stupid question: I know they make S14.5 conversion fenders. Do they make S13.4 conversion parts or are those actual S14 kouki parts made to fit??
