So i have been having some issues lately. Have had the car only a couple of months, 1994 silvia from japan. Sr20det engine. the turbo had play in the compressor wheel, causing a massive loss in power and weird noises. changed the turbo with s 15 turbo and new forged lines. Changed plugs to reccomened plugs gapped to factory spec. boost leak tested, no leaks. new fuel filter. maf cleaned recently. Still my car acts up and seems to almost be bogging out. I think that possibly wiring is my issue or maybe they didnt change the ECU in japan during the swap. Sometimes it pulls hard and seems to breathe free, and other times it seems to be working way too hard and not making barely any power at all. Sometimes it studders at idle, jumping to stalling point and bringing it self back up just above stalling point, but almost dieing. plugs were lean when i took the old ones out but nothing too serious. everything was installed properly that is new. it is stoke except what is stated abouve and exhaust and cosmetics. Would a power fc solve my issue? is it a fuel issue? wiring issue? or sis they slap a turbo on to the existing engine and it runs like s***? Please help me out...... winter is coming and i live in canada

sounds like your vacuum lines are hooked up right...cleaned your maf? how'd you do that?

no need for a power fc

as far as the det vs de vin stuff - i'm kinda confused

what are the main problems with the way the car runs (cliif notes)...
