^ Doesn't everyone?
< Insurance toldme I had to see my PCP to confirm that my hand was indeed broken before they would approve me for surgery. This was confirmed at the ER; one would think that was an acceptable place for a diagnosis. Unfortunately for me, my surgery was 2 days from when I received this wonderful nugget of information, and they were threatening to not cover the procedure. I managed to get an emergency visit to my PCP (which consisted of me telling reception and then holding a "sit down" in their waiting room since they had 'no appointments, no exceptions') who looked at me like I was retarded and said, "Yup, its broken. I don't know what the hell they wanted from me." Insurance then tried to tell me to wait 2-3 more weeks (they would have had to re-break my hand since it would've started healing by then) while they found an approved 'in circle' surgeon, whatever that means. I fought it and got the specialist originally scheduled and life went on, but MAN, what a crock of s***.
V got a better doctor/insurance story?
