V-clamp question

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

I am looking for somethign to attach my downpipe to my turbo? woudl a V-clamp do the work for this kind of turbo

where to get it?and how much it costs usually? any other way to attch to it

not sure what your saying. how many bolts are on the housing? do you have the flange for it? i just welded the flange straight to the downpipe on mine.

first off, the pic doesnt work.

if the turbine output is round with a grooved lip, then you need a V-band clamp, and a downpipe made with a V-band flange to mate with the turbo.

if the turbo has a v-band connection, then it is also external wastegate and you have to figure out where to place the external wastegate, and how to plumb it.

keep in mind, v band clamps are expensive. the band you need will probably cost like 75-100$

thats exactly how i pictured it. you need a v-band flange, have it welded to your down pipe,the v-band clamp, and you need an external wastegate.

why not weld a 5-bolt flange to the turbo itself :)
