I give this combo a 4 out 5 rating. the price is great, for what you get.

Knife: i have the smith & wesson branded version of this knife and its great. i beat the crap out of it and never did it give up. usually cheaper knives like M-Tech lose the center set-screw. this one has stayed together for over a year of abuse. i would certainly buy this knife again.

Flashlight: the LED flashlight is really bright. dont expect it to compete with big-boy tactical 300+ lumen output, but its certainly good enough for for 0-50yard use. i love that with this light you get the high/low/strobe modes. i didnt expect these features because many descriptors on the websites dont even list that as the options in this flashlight.
  • First Responder Knife Features:

    Black anti-reflective coating
    Emergency seatbelt cutter
    Blade length: 3.25"
    Metal pocket clip
    Glass breaker

    Flashlight Features:

    3 W Cree LED bulb
    HIGH/LOW/STROBE MODES
    110 Lumen output
    Aircraft aluminum body
    2 x 3V Lithium batteries included

Wow, that light is bright for how small it is. The strobe mode is cool too.

I've also got a $10 cheapo version of the same knife, but with assisted open and metal body and frame. Did exactly what you said with the setscrew. I've had to tighten it about 5 times in the past year, and almost lost the handle at one point. Threadlocker solved that problem though.

Audio was really really quiet on this one.

I love LED's. My friend and I took a mag light, swapped the standard 2x 1.5V batteries out of it, put it some 9V batteries that are meant for aircraft Comm use (same size as the original batteries, just higher voltage), and blew the incandescent bulb. The LED is still holding up, and is probably 10X brighter than when we used the regular 1.5V batteries.

Definitely buying a ThruNite or SureFire this year.

Roman, shouldn't the caption on the video be "Light Test"?

i firmly trust in surefire & streamlight. those two in my opinion are the best flashlights on the market. all the other names (again, in my opinion only) come behind surefire & streamlight.

and regarding the "NIGHT" caption, i wanted the word "night", since people who buy lights always wanna know how they perform in the dark. ;)

yo ace2cool, being the Streamlight fan that i am, i just bought this: Streamlight MicroStream. I cant wait to get it, and give you a review.

(side note: I have used Streamlight since 2004 for patrol duty and its been an absolute god-sent. not only have i used my Streamlight Stinger XT (now upgraded with an LED head) for patrol, but for power outages, car repairs, around the house, etc. i only replaced 1 bulb, and 1 battery so far on it. it recharges fast and held up to real abuse. i love my streamlight stinger xt, and everyone else that had it loves it too. so for that reason, im a streamlight fan.) i hear equally great reviews from surefire, but im hooked on the streamlights lol

That is misleadingly small. Looks awesome though. I'm getting some ideas for what I need to get to put in the center console for roadside repairs/ signaling.
