Right now i have the GReddy Type-S BOV but I just can't help the fact i love the sound of the HKS SSQ. I currently recuculate my BOV. I'm curious to know what it would take to run this BOV open air or recurculated. I know i'd need the flange at most.

On my friends GS-T Eclipse he uses a MAF translator, there one for the 240? I've got a blacktop using the GReddy FMIC if that means anything.

i am running the hks into the atmosphere and nothing is needed it runs rich but i have never stalled or anything i am about to recirculate it just for the fact i do run to rich. to recirculate it all u have to do is buy a $12 peice from HKS and about a foot of 1 inch hose......also HKS has different inserts for the bov i guess to change the tone or maybe just for looks who knows........

I run my HKS SSQ open dump with no problems whatsoever. Never stallled, surging idle, ran rich, etc... I mounted mine in the fender well on the hot side of the intercooler. It's hidden, frees up room in the engine bay, and sounds nice.

The only time I've stalled with my ssqv is when I would turn on the a/c, then turn it off and after when the bov went off I'd stall.

Well, I'm gonna get one pretty soon after I get some other things straightened out. I'll prbably recurk it. However I'd like to have it open air but I don't like that popping sound that happenes with I had my type s open atmos. from it runniung rich and having the fuel combust after words.

if you've got the fmic you can mount it right where unforgvn runs his, the fmic piping right between the hotpipe and intercooler has a nipple in which to attach your bov too. if you're going for loud sound... that's the place to put it.

I think the fact that you have one less thing in your engine bay is more important to me than sound. I could care less about the bov sound only that it works. Although it does sound better for all those people who do like the bov sound.

lol, again true. Well That "nipple" was welded off do to a problem i had with that a little while back. I was gonna cut the flange for the Type-S off and re weld a flange for the HKS unit in the same spot.
