I'm going to be going KA-T soon and am buying parts. I already have bought 370CC injectors and a SR MAF with tail and cone. Here is the setup I will use:

Turbonetics .50 trim T3/T04E turbo (.48)KA24DE turbo manifold JGS400 wastegate KA24DE downpipe and wg pipe set JDG KA24E oil feed & return line kit 370CC injectors Walbro 255 pump SR MAF w/cone SAFC-II SR SMIC SR Stock BOV

My question is, is it cool for me to install the MAF and cone now? Add some HP and fun for several weeks or is it not worth it?

Any help on install, such as wire connection?

Thanks!

is you have the SAFC installed yes. it is required to alternate the SR maf to the stock ka voltage for the ECU

SR MAFS is the same thing as the KA MAFS, you need like a z32 tt MAFS

but why not just get the z32 now instead of getting the sr then the z32...dont do things twice if you can do it once

even if you dont want to max out the smaller one now, you will later, happens to everybody

Well the z32 is 3x's more expensive, I'm only shooting for 235rwhp (ish) and that MAF will do that. Any finally I need something too look forward to in future upgrades (Z32 MAF, FMIC, and all that good stuff)

And finally this is my first turbo car (or modded car) and I dont want to bite off more than I can chew.

you can get an sr MAFS for $30? or are you looking at rip off prices for a z32 MAFS

also, you do need an FMIC for that much power, its dumb to not put an intercooler on regardless, but especially at that level

$50, z32 maf go for $150. plus if I get a Z32MAF then I'll need bigger injectors since the 370cc restrict me to 250ish anyhow

the injectors are another story altogether, people have to swap injectors all the time...but the MAFS you can get once and be done with it

plus i see z32 MAFS all the time for like $90 - $100, im sure theyd be even less if you went and got one from a junkyard

I'm going to have an intercooler, a sr sidemount. the cheapest I have seen Z32 MAF's go is $150. Even Ebay prices are around that
