Using my iPod in M35

In the 2007 M35, I want to be able to use my iPod in my car and be able to play music. Is there a way I can do this?

Or if you have the av inputs behind your center console that's a lot easier to do, plus once you do the screen over ride you can play videos and movies. But the only problem I have with that is the controls on my iPod touch are limited to selecting next or previous.
