using foglights as turn signals???

Hey guys, i have replaced my intercoolers with godspeed side mounts and now my turn signals wont fit… is there any way i can just switch the bulbs on the fogs to leds and rewire the turn signal harness to the foglight? Would i be able to pass inspection or is this illegal? thanks!

Thought it was pretty common to saw or shave down the turn signals to fit with the bigger ICs.

Yeah a lot of guys mod the back housing of the turn signals.

Or you could pick up a set of OEM Euro spec turn signals. They are made to fit into the same spot as the USDM/JDM fog lights. They use a three wire plug similar to the JDM fog lights. This three wire plug is the same as the three wire on the USDM corner lights too, so you might be able to simply extend that harness. The Euro units also have the parking/clearance light bulb. So you'll basically replace your entire corner light and still retain all the lights. The Euro Z's have a smoked corner light that is simply a dummy light (i.e. not plugs or lights), just a cosmetic filler.
