Is there any wiring that needs to be done. or wires switched in the ecu to run an automatic ecu in a 5sp car. I fried my 5sp ecu, and i was able to get an auto for free.

I tried searching, but the only thing i could find was about auto-manual swaps, and the wiring due to the inhibitors, which my car doesn't have, so it really shouldnt be a problem.

Note to everyone. If your running a relocated battery, and running the cables through the inside of the car, or have an amp, or anything else that get wired to the battery while under the trunk, be careful. I ran my wires through the rubber grommet in the firewall that above the ecu. I also don't have any fenderwell linings. On bad rainy days, water may work its way in there, and eventually fry your ecu. It took me awhile to figure out that thats what had happened.

I don't honestly know. I know that it will work with the swap as long a you mod the wiring to think you are in park all the time. Doesn't really help you though. What year is your car? I have an 89 5spd ecu that i don't know if i will use yet.

Everything seems to be working fine. And as a plus, there's no more speed limiter.
