I posted this in another forum but i guess no one saw or somethin, but as some may know i used to own a z32 tt, and one thing the NA guys were doing were using z32 tt clutches instead of the NA version because it is larger diametere and using the stock flywheel tt would result in more torque. and for them to do this they grinded the inside of the bell housing ( i think i'll have to find the thread) and put washers on the starter. since a rb25det uses a z32 NA clutch/fly, couldnt we theoretically do the same, resulting a larger clutch/flywheel that will hold more power, and will cost a bit cheaper if not the same. just wondering

im pretty sure its not a Z32 flywheel. im fact im almost positive.

as for more torque, how much power are you planning on making here? i mean a good pressure plate and 6/4 puck will hold 500 whp no problem. dont know many people on here going above that.

just seems like a wasted effort to me.

I was thinking the VG flywheels and RB flywheels have a different # of bolts holding them on.

Z32 flywheels are an 8-bolt pattern that bolt up to the flywheel.

RB25/RB26 flywheels are a 6-bolt pattern that bolt up to the flywheel.

Now, I know some machine shops that can make flywheels, but then again, that is some serious money. Might be cheaper to just find a supplier from Japan and order from there and pay shipping costs.

Youd be fine with a 4 or 6 puck unsprung disc and a nice, stiff plate. SPEC makes kits for NA Z32's and specifically for RB20/25/26, so look into their lineup.

I have a spec stage 3, and it still has a light pedal feel. You could also get a heavier metal disc, like their stage 4 disc, and up the ante a bit. Also, they will give u a 4 puck instead of a 6 puck if you specify that when ordering.

i have an RPS 6 puck sprung hub. i havnt used it yet, nor have i talked to anyone that has. supposedly holds up to 520lb ft and has relatively light pedal feel having a sprung hub. well see.
