hi peeps.i just got finished today swapping my t25 with a friends t25 cause as i boost to 7psi, right as it hits 4psi it would make a bad fluttering sound, and wasnt running as strong anymore. when i pulled it off the shaft was wiggling around.

now his t25 was sitting up for 9-10 months. his motor blew back then. but as it idles it smokes very little and when i rev it to 3000rpm a big puff of white smelly smoke comes out. he said when he got it he needed a oil line pressure reducer and when he put it on after 4 days it stopped smoking all together. it has that same reducer and now its smoking with or without it. but less with it

the trip part is that the turbo is kicking strong spooling at 2200 rpm and the 7psi is back strong in the car. just this damn smoke problem. im going to run it up and down my street for a few days boosting so that maybe it will stop.

anybody else experienced this. sorry for the novel

Could it be pooled oil? Or maybe bad seal?

Well you have an oil feed and return and coolant in and out. I think a lot of folks leave the coolant lines off as some think they aren't necessary, I figure if they put coolant hook ups on there, then I should use them. But I know that they shouldn't be intertwined any where. Did it ease up after you drove it for a bit?

Your turbo could use a rebuild, if its not smoking bad then you could just run it.

ok heres a little update.

that t25 BUSTED. i had oil in my intake lines.

new well used garrett t25 with hks internals. BLOWS MY MINDthat thing is a beast.

quick question how should i go about cleaning all that oil that went in my piping.should i just open after the turbo and start spraying carb cleaner. only cause at first it was bogging down and i got scarred to drive it and after idle for 15 min i drove again and blew some smoke out then it started driving like a beast.

exe. it use to break the tires when i was WOT hitting 4k rpm in first it does it in second too and i get thrown in my r32 seat even more.butt dyno is very happy

does it still puff a big cloud of white smoke when you give it gas? You know your turbo seal may be bad and it might be throwin oil in your intake piping, you should look into getting a new seal if that's the case.

is the seals easy to change in the turbo with out having to get the shaft balanced
