$1500 but I'll bet you could talk for $1,000 since no bids 1 day left.

Dennis, any idea what cartridges are in there? The seller doesn't know, and they aren't labeled. There's 1 bid now, and honestly I'm quite wary of paying that much for anything sold "as-is".

We just bought a U990 cartridge from Dealer for $100.He should be able to find a Nissan to plug it into to prove it works, probably has read the manual to know how to load software.

Not bad if everything works. We have found that there are no repairs from Nissan or Infiniti on this item if something goes wrong with it.

how much more useful is the consult as opposed to just pulling the codes by the blinking lights? How much programming capability would you have with it? Anysupport for overseas motors?

I use Consult daily, we use the Consult11 which has alot faster processing power than the Consult1. You can do numerous things with Consult, although you can only reprogram certain models starting in the year 2000 depending on the model. You also need to have ASSIST loaded onto a PC with the updates, retrieve the DATA from the PC to consult, then connect Consult to the vehicle for the update. With Consult11, you can reprogram some ECM's and TCM's. The cards being shown are for 1990 to around the 1998 models, depending on the vehicle. Consult 11 has three cards. A red card for retrieving DATA, trouble codes. diagnose etc. The orange card is used for DATA transfer, reprogramming of the ECM and TCM. A purple card for the NATS system ( matching the ignition key chips to the vehicle, and the intelligent system on the FX). Another thing to keep in mind, if you attach a scan tool, regardless of make, to a Infiniti vehicle that has the high speed CAN (central area network)system without the high speed adapter, the vehicles CAN computers will all go into failsafe mode. A few of the 2003 vehicles now have high speed CAN.
