Theres a local 240SX for sale, a '95 with just over 100K on it, 5 spd, leather, sunroof, the works. I checked out the car and there's a sizable dent on the rear driver side panel that looks like it should be on the door too, but the door is clean. The air bag light is blinking, and it seemed somewhat sporadic but it was hard to tell. The guy said he bought the car like that 6 years ago with 30K on it and it's never given him a problem. Said it's been regularly maintained, but the CEL is on. He says he's had it cleared (but doesn't know why the light is being tripped) and it comes back on after so many miles. So it could be just the O2 sensor is worn out, could be something much bigger. I took it for a test drive and it seemed fine, shifted well, good pull, good braking and tracking from the suspension.
So the question is, is it worth the $3500 asking price or am I just asking for trouble? The other question is, if it isn't worth $3500, how much would you pay?
