[/quote]I don't see how it would increase safety besides "giving better lateral stability"... I think that would be calling it a stretch. However, if what they mean by increased safety is ruined wheel bearings, they're right on! ;)

No no, it's talking about using a proper spacer, as opposed to the chop shop non hub-centric style el cheapo spacer.

All in all, it's just advertisement spin, to make their product look like a good idea. (which it can be, when compared to the greater evil: the common cheap spacer)

Early bearing failure is the price one pays for his hobby. No different for mud bogging or rock crawling trucks with oversized tires, where a single wheel/tire assy can weigh 50+lbs per unit!!

Chmercer, good to see you found the H&R site.

"Early bearing failure is the price one pays for his hobby."

only if you didnt do it right. Now for rock crawlers/ultra heavy stuff, sure that is a price to pay, but for sports/racing car modificatsion I would have to disagree. If the leverage/offset and cneterline of the wheel are lined up correctly with the suspension you can prevent premature hub failure.

a small note, to be sure, but I think it's worth noting.-chet
