use of a free space

on verts for those who are still automatic next to the ignition theres a light, i believe its for when the overdrive is on, or cruise control, not really important now for me anyways since it converted it to manual, i just needed to get you all to know what i was talkin about and since, i now have this hole where the light used to be, i was just wonder if anyone has made good use of that space, even if its putting a sticker over it.

Sorry to thread jack. If I had done the swap I'd use the space to mount my fog/driving light switch.

Right next to it, there's a blank plug, so you have actually 2 spots for something. I've collecting parts for my 5-speed swap and already got the blank plug for overdrive light. Last time I replaced instrument panel glass, and I had to remove everything. I unplugged overdrive light and didn't plug back in.

If you use those 2 plug space well, you might be able to fit DRL(daytime running light) switch, fog light switch, folding mirror switch, cruise control switches and stuff.

There is a factory change holder that plugs in there, my buddy has it on his hatch (no rear wiper), here it is:

Best I could find of it, the second pic is the best. I think its pretty cool, I would try to get one if I didn't have the rear wiper on the hatch, its way to useful to give up

Vert 'should' be 5spd next weekend, so we'll see what I do, probably nothing for now.

Just do it!!!! it's seriously easier than you think.

I've done 4 now, 3 of them on my own cars, 2 S14's and 2 S13's.

sourcing the parts is the biggest PITA, but the actual swap is not that hard. if you need pointers I'd be more than glad to help, I'm just too far away to do it for ya.
