i think that a nissan 240sx and its parts sold in north america should not be refered to as "USDM". To me, "USDM" (United States Domestic Market) would refer to chevys, fords, and chryslers. nissans, hondas, and toyotas ECT should be refered to as "USIM" (United States Import Market).

the JDM and USDM have nothing to do with where theyre built. Its about where the cars are 'marketed'. A USDM vehicle can be built anywhere in the world, but its only sold in the US (or North America).

Exactly. For instance most Fords would be CDN (Canadian Domestic Market) or MDN (Mexican Domestic Market). My M3 was built in Georgia, so I suppose its more USDM than my old Thunderbird?

USDM = I don't have to pay to import this, but its beat to hell.JDM = I have to pay to import this, but I can't read the box.DTM = Why is this oil filter $175?

There, I hope that helps.
