Usdm Silvia build thread

So i've been on here awhile and i figured that it would just be easier to make a build thread and update it as i modded my car instead of making individual update threads, but also give a little background.

My name is Zach and i've owned my 1993 240sx coupe for about 3 months now and understand why everyone who gets one is obsessed. I bought this car for 2,500$ with 135k miles, a silvia front, 300zx brakes, b&m short shifter, and apexi coilovers. (before the guy messed it up)

I bought the car with the front end apart so first on the list was to assemble it. That took all of 2 hours. Then i decided that i wanted my valve cover red, i dont know why i just did hahaso after that i drove the car for awhile and then decided it was time to match the bumper to the rest of the car so i took a can of spray paint and did my best but ran out of paint about 3/4 of the way through.

After kinda painting the bumper i decided to lower it, this caused some rubbing so i decided to roll the fenders and go even lower.

After almost maxing out my coilovers and causing a bit of rubbing due to a overly large tires i got some S14 SE wheels and decided to go a bit crazy and paint them fluorescent pink



This is all for now, exhaust is next and should be here within this week

Its a damn shame when you go to websites, and you type in 240sx and they bring up parts for a silvia. Its almost like the KA didnt come factory in the 240.

Looks good i would atlest paint the wheels black.

no ebay sir, this is sonic motor and it is soooo sexy, ive got a test pipe on it as well and it so deep and pops when i let off

and my brother is letting me borrow his legit video camera tomorrow so ill have a good sound clip and maybe a sideways clip

A usdm 240sx with a silvia front is still a usdm 240sx with a silvia front. Silvia was never built nor distributed for the us market therefore (correct spelling of therefore) you have a usdm 240sx with a silvia front, that you didnt swap, so its someone elses project car usdm 240sx with a silvia front.

Should have bought new tires. Z33 look way better.

Relocate the harness. Everyone has to do it.

My opinion is one of many and probably means nothing. I'm sure that not everyone that you have met has like the wheels the same. I am simply stating that I think the pic with the Z33 wheels at the top is the best picture of the car on here. Looks like you have done little to the car, except for spray painting the bumper and spray painting wheels, and o Im sorry you adjusted the suspension height so that the better looking wheels werent functional for you anymore. I suppose that makes sense.
