Wait my child... Paul will soon answer all that is to be known. Although you have created a sin that god shall punish you for centuries. Posting CA18DET questions in the SR20DET thread is forbidden by the 15th Commandment, following the 14th which states FWD is gay and is thus bad and evil and should be banished to hell and preceding the 16th Commandment that states those that have Mullets are fobidden to drive anything with less than 6 cyl. and must never be found in a Japanese vehicle unless they are in the process of ramming it into their double wide mobile home trying to move it in order to conserve the fuel for their "hotrod" 53 Chevy Pick-up in no more than 50% complete restoration. Now god will kill 500 baby kittens because you sinned. May you be banished to Hell with a giant "I love APC products" logo tattooed onto thy loin.

Your thread has been moved.

In regards to your question, everything except the pistons are transferable from the CA18DE.

Allow me to do some flaming, you might want to take that DET out of your name if you don't have a turbo engine yet. It would be very honda-like to claim you have turbo (VTEC is the exact same thing as turbo you idiot!!! "trpower7 pimp slaps ricer boy")

Isn't that kind of like putting a GT-R badge on an Altima? (or a 240 for that matter, unless your Daunttless who has wild dreams of an RB26DETT in a 240.........)

IF, and I stress IF, I put a RB26 in my 240, I"m going to put GT-R badges ALL over it. Everywhere you look there will be a GT-R badge. : ) Then, when someone makes fun of me, I"ll show them my RB26, rrar.

Dream on, dreamer, dream on.

ok, j/k, I would love to see that swap. It would ruin handling, though.

I am STILL looking into swapping rb25det into a 240sx. Until money begins to grow on trees, however, I'll stick to ca18det.

as you can see i have a 12v(not even a DOCH) under my hood and you are correct about not having a T in my 240, but as someone else say it is my goal for that I chose that ID name. AND I HAVE NO INTENTIONS ON REMOVING LETTERS OR CHANGING IT !!!about posting the CA treat in a sr forum, im not catholic so:confused: do I still get to go to hell or am I forgiven

Geez, if you have done all that you don't need the "det" in your name. Why not fastsohc or something like that. You have put in more work than alot of the turbo guys, which I certainly give you mad credit for. I'd be proud of your all-motor aspirations, not your dreams of turbo. And no, you aren't forgiven, perhaps after many many more insightful posts we can forgive this grievance.

Well, not much has been done to his engine, at least not that I can see. It does have the port/polish but other than that the only thing that has been done is the auto => manual. If he had some 11:1 compression forged pistons with forged con rods and a balanced and knife edged crank with some very aggressive cam work I'd agree he doesn't need the DET. But he obviously has aspirations for a DET engine. : )

DOUBLE POSTING... YOU TOO SHALL BE BANISHED TO HELL! NissanDET240.... catholic or not... you will be banished to hell. You shall be forced to lose to Ricers, watch someone rice out a 240 over and over again, be subjected to noob questions all day, and be forced to do dancing videos with Richard Simmons.

actually this engine was intentioned to run a small reliable amount of nitro, but then I found out that N2O isnt that cheap and reliable (for a rooky like me) and since i do ALL the work in my car I didnt want to blow my self into pieces, have my car caug in fire and staff. so i dediced to go the turbo way instead, then I got this ID name ok

the pulsar has a fwd ca18de, I thinkI don't know if the parts would still be interchangable since ones fwd and the other is rwd

what about the 180sx...even though I think it was fwd too.

The 180SX is RWD and not released in America.

All the CA18DE parts are interchangeable, everything except the pistons.

hmm..that's strange I thought I saw one once. Maybe it was just a 200sx, even though they don't look alike, and I just thought 180...
