hey sup guys. my 2001 infiniti qx4 has an aftermarket pioneer touchscreen system that my dad put in it months ago. i like using usb to play my playlists. however, the radio that i have only has its usb ports in the back, which means ill have to pull out the radio so that i can get back there. but before i plug the cord into the jack and run it through, i want to know which way is much safer and easier, running it under the center console or bringing it through the dash and into the glove box? the glove box is very ideal because it allows me to lock my usb stick in so that it doesn't get stolen. but then again, my music is saved and i can always get a new usb stick if it gets taken away from me. thanks a bunch guys.

I have mine going behind the dash and into the glove box without issues. If I recall correctly, it didn't take any modifications at all to the glove box or other parts of the vehicle to do this.

Oh it is very easy if I recall...plenty of space to feed the USB cable thru to the glove box!

indeed it was an easy task after all! today, i went out to my vehicle, took apart my center stack, pulled out the radio, plugged my usb cord in to the back of my pioneer head unit, ran it through my dash and into the glove box, and thus we now have this setup.


here's a close up look of the cord following the extra green wires through to the glove box. im not sure if y'all can see the black cord very well.
