USB stopped working

I've had my 2010 EX35 since December 2009 and the USB has worked perfectly with my 5th generation iPod nano the entire time until it stopped recognizing the iPod about a month ago.

I tried a different cable and it still doesn't work. It recognizes the iPod initially, but then says nothing is connected. Nothing changed - it just stopped working out of the blue. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Hi there,

Now-a-days there are several reasons your ipod may stop working.

Do you have another ipod you could try?
Are you running the most up to date AV operating system software? (click INFO and Navigation Version)

You might want to try restoring your ipod and start fresh. That sounds like a verification fault. It will more than likely require a trip to the dealer for an update.

Did you update your Nano to a new software version via iTunes about a month ago?

I suggest you try inserting a plain USB stick with an mp3 on it and see if it reads that. That should at least tell you if it's the radios USB connection or your ipod.

Try something else in your USB Jack to see if it reads it.

So...feeling kind of silly about this. I hadn't synced the nano in a long time. Finally did and now it works fine. Thanks, all, for your suggestions!
