Hi there and Welcome to the M forum.

What you are describing sounds pretty interesting. Since one of the devices works properly I think you might have a formatting error or connectivity error with your devices. Using mass storage mode on certain phones might not be readable by the car depending on several types of software.

The car will only recognize certain files in certain formats on certain devices it accepts and plays many but quality will not be the same across the board.

Here is a list of exactly what your car supports.

Thanks for your respond .. I have other questions :
My car is for Middle east and there is some features I can't use it like ripping music from USB .. my radio can't read the stations name .. when I play music using Bluetooth phone also the songs name didn't show up but when I use the USB I can see the names and the albums cover.
Can I make the DVD player free region ? All my DVDs us imported :( .
Is there a chance that I can mode it without opening the car? Thanks so much. And I loved the quote in your sign ^^.

This is a bit of an issue that I honestly do not know if I can answer. To the best of my knowledge Audio control unit is US market programmed when it is manufactured. What I think you might need is a global control unit for a Fuga. However I have absolutely no clue where you would get one of those or even if it would work with the complex computer network in that car.

Did you import a US M? or source a Global model?

I got that from a friend in the Land Rover repair business.
It holds true for anything...at least over here typically.

I have 2011 M37x imported from Canada, I am driving it in the Middle East (Dubai), the car is great but I can't use most of the DVD/ Navigation system, the maps are fro North America, I tried loading UAE Maps, the disk was not recognised.

Also, I plugged in an iPhone to the USB it was not recognized and the USB selection does not appear on the screen when the Disk/AUX is pushed, I also tried memory stick, same, not recognized.

Would appreciate if any one can shed some lights on the two issues.
