I plugged in my old ipod that I use in other cars and it charges but is not recognized to access music. I also plugged in my iphone 12 and it is not recognized but charges. My iphone is recognized by bluetooth.
Does the usb device need to be a flash drive? Anyone else with this issue?

Did you verify that the USB Cable you are using is capable of data transfer and not just charging only? I don't have a 2022, but that was the first thing that comes to mind since all cables are not created equally.

Thanks for that response. I had not considered that and probably is the source. Although interestingly, when I plug the either device into the Hyundai, it plays without issue. Maybe the rogue is using USB 2.0 and a Hyundai from 2015 is not. I’ll definitely look into that. Thanks again

It worked. Got an apple cable from the box and it synced up. My sales guy san Nissans are funny that way These older cables worked great on other cars so they do tranfer data, just not on Nissans. Thanks for the info.

Looks like the new Rogues has a software where it detects whether the cable is 1st party or 3rd party? That's my only assumption since the 3rd party cables you said works on other vehicles.

Well, I went to the Apple store and got a cable. It didn't work. Imediate return. I'm guessing the ipod is too old for Nissan to recognize.
