What sort of USB device?

The only real port open is the aux port, so any USB device such as a small computer and maybe Pocket Pc with rca jacks out could be connected there. Not much in the way of interface however using the normal touch panel without some real hacking of the touch panel (which can be done, just not easy).

Thanks for the reply. I want to use an external drive like a hard drive or thumb drive. It is also a little lame that the music box cant be accessed via USB - how cool would it be to just upload files right onto it and not via the CD input? I think Infiniti missed this one just a bit...

I agree since many aftermarkets now have that as a standard feature. As far as a thumb drive goes it seems to me that there may actually be a SD to CF type of method. I mention this since there are USB/SD thumbdrives. I use the CF port but it is somewhat limited.

If you don't have a sat radio you may be able if you are cleaver steal that interface, but you would have to have a good understanding on how it functions. I guess you could state the same with the iPod and maybe that information is more readily available.

Thanks for the great idea Perry. Unfortunately, the only CF to USB interface that I was able to find was USB 1.1 and the price was ~$150. I have SAT radio and quite honestly my mechanical skills are solid but my EE knowledge is a bit limited so I need to rely on others for the design ingenuity.

Aside from the CD burn method, do you know of any other way to access the Music Box HD?

Basically I was speaking of a small thumb drive that uses a SD card. There are SD to CF cards. Basically what looks like a hollowed out CF card that the SD sits inside of.

As far as the HD no. I was thinking if I had anything to do with it it would become a solid state drive.
