Have a 2017 Q60 and curious if the 2 USB ports are of any use - other than connecting a phone & iPad.

For instance, can I:
1. Install Waze? It does seem that the inTouch services is a variant or Andorid 2.3.
2. Replace the vehicles welcome screen with a jpg or a gif.
3. And any thing else?

You can't install anything into the factory app system which really sux as I would love to run Waze from it. I had hoped by now there would be much more application options but Infiniti has not gone that route at this time. Luckily I didn't purchase the car based upon their inadequacy of allowing infotainment selectivity.

Seems there has been closure in a lawsuit as well: https://www.carcomplaints.com/news/2017 ... suit.shtml

Bummer. Though not surprised.

One of those so called Infiniti Apps is a Calendar.
But its not an actual calendar, just a voice that reads my days appointments. Thats just a useless app. I removed it.

I tried Facebook once while bored and found it quite useless as well. You can enable iHeartRadio in the back-end (unless they changed it) but cannot get an icon for it. I'm surprised they have not allowed that and Pandora at a minimum.

I used Google Search a couple of times and it seems to do fine when stationary but if you are driving on the expressway the wind noise inside of my Q50 was so great it could not understand a single thing I said at 60mph. Might need to try it in the Q60 at one point because of all the things they have with the system that would be about the only one that would be occasionally useful.
