Yeah I did search a bit.. and also in the archive but nothing really came up.Just wondering what other harness than the original ca18det harness can be used?Would the ca18de work, even if it was the fwd version, of course a few wires would need to be extended I'm guessing.. Would the KA harness be usable, I don't know if the ecu would plug or not..And thirdly do we have a vaccum diagram somewhere?

Thanks to all that want to add all the different harness that would work, or some of the vaccums that are not all that important.

red top sr harness would be your best bet on top of my head. These 2 engines were similiar yet very different but i have seen the 2 up close and they are similiar, i just don't know about specific plugs. But ebay is always filled with ca18det harnesses

try http://www.ca18det.org for the vacuum diagrams and wiring diagrams. you can always just make one like i did. i didnt extend anything, i re-made the harness so it would fit perfectly and look like the car came with the engine. took me 2 weeks though...

Well i gotta question for you guys... im going to rewire my car tonight caus there are a couple of problems with it. The tailights and dash lights dont work... im going to check fuses first but i think its related to the ground wires into the dash harness. There are like 2-3 black wires coming from the ecu and only 1 from the dash... what is up with that?

Awesome.. thanks to all for the replies. I didn't find any wiring/vaccum diagrams on ca18det.org though could 'show' me where to get them?
