So my house is half a mile from the airport where the airshow is always held. This means the Angels loop over my house. It made for an interesting vantage for some of the day.

Nice pics! I heard on K-Love this morning that there were some folks on the beach that got a 700mph flyby from the Blue Angels, but I didn't catch where. They played audio of it, but alarm clock speakers don't do it justice.

Awesome pics! I love airshows. I lived off the HAFB runways for many years and always got a great view of the Thunderbirds when they did shows there. The sounds of F16s and F22s overhead became pretty familiar. It was always funny when I'd have guests in my house and we'd be mid-converstion when they'd stop and wait. I'd ask why they stopped and they'd say "I can't hear anything over those jets!" I didn't even notice anymore. You get used to the sound and the volume. F22s make a really interesting scream when you catch the exhaust at certain angles--it's actually almost like a TIE fighter. I work really near the base, too (but on the opposite side from where I lived; behind the runway) and when the planes circle around to head west to the proving grounds you get some really cool noises off the F22s.

One year at Hill, we were standing just a few dozen meters behind an F16 and the pilot decided to throttle up a tiny bit for just a fraction of a second. The whole crowd stumbled back a couple steps in unison. It was hilarious.
