Change can be good or bad. You simply think from an Obama perspective it is good change whereas I don't.

BTW, you may want to contact Websters and tell them their definition of stance is incorrect as it is missing the word Republican

Listening the the American public opinion would likely be a GOOD idea for the president of the US to do. That is what I meant and you know it...where you got listening to Russia from IDFK. For somebody who acusses people of misunderstanding when your they disagree/your wrong, you dont make a really good effort...

Just more excuses, is that why Obama is going for oil drilling in 'limited' fashion? He thinks public opinion is 'limited' for now? What's next? Limited 'Rev. Wright stuff'?

American Opinion only seems to work when it supports your side. Otherwise it's thrown out the door. Look at what the voters wanted with marriage in Cali to see an example of it. Of course, they are just bigots and homophobes so their opinion should not matter in the least.

Sure, if that thoughtful consideration and mental facilities includes reading polls. When you're adamantly against drilling like the rest of the party and then a poll comes out showing the public thinks otherwise...that's thoughtful consideration? Hell, I can do that, put me on the ballot. Even Bush can change his mind, but then again he gets chastised for doing so. Everyone else gets accused of flip flopping. But Obama, he changes his mind, and its like wow this is refreshing and he gets praised for it. Seriously? This is completely and utterly pathetic. There should be a church called The Church of Obama and the Latter Day Saints. If you think I'm wrong, you had 20/20 vision before and were saved by Obama himself and became blind to the rest of the outside world when he put the mud on your eyes. Seriously???

Thoughtful consideration is much more than that. Thoughtful consideration isn't looking at polls and saying, "Ok, fine I guess," and buying into the American people. If he's truly having thoughtful consideration on the subject, why hasn't he called for his party to come back to work to vote on this crap? I mean, after all, he will be the leader of the party and country if he becomes president, and he's already taken the liberty of looking and acting like a president already, why not show even more leadership? If he's truly having thoughtful consideration on the subject, why didn't he thoughtfully consider the subject earlier and use his mental facilities earlier?

Bringing up if someone voted for Bush and then saying why they voted for Bush is irrelevant...why bring it up even? This thread had potential and is now failing.

I call it deflecting. Take the thread into another direction because they can't debate the facts nor accept them as truth so you attack based on something else to change the subject matter.

I can't wait for the debates. McCain will probably fall asleep in the middle of the first one. Even then, his supporters will comment on "how reverent and respectful" he's being.

Doubtful. I support him against Obama but generally don't like a good percentage of his policy.

How dare a president change policies because a poll of 10k people taken on a website says people want X.

you wanna cite that? Ever consider that unlike Bush and McCain, Obama might revise his opinions based on new information?

This fliflop nonsense is garbage. How can we possibly insist that a candidate hold the same position NO MATTER WHAT. I much prefer someone willing to listen and change as opposed to some blind fool.

It's not that he will change. It's how easily he changes his mind. Changing your mind on the campaign trail is easy. Changing you mind in office costs the taxpayers millions. THAT is the problem.

That's precisely the point. One gets praised for doing so and the rest of the field gets accused when they do the same thing.
