So i just need to vent, i have had this car for about 6 months and it was brand new. Within a few months, i get a small door ding parking at the mall!!! Then i get a few rock chips that scratch the paint. Winter comes around and i get a rock to my windshield resulting in a giant crack straight across. Now fast forward to today and while washing my car, i notice one of my fog lights glass is completely shattered and someone was kind enough to leave 2 dents on my back driver side door and rear wheel arch along with a nice 2 inch scratch right to the metal. :tisk: I hate this city's crappy a** drivers and all the douche bags who damage other peoples cars.

dude I know the feeling. People these days don't respect anything of value. My car got keyed down the whole passenger side like 6 months after I got it, and soon after that a piece of my garage door fell off and dented and scratched the the truck and stillen wing. I waited a little while and then took it to the shop and paid my $500 deductible and had everything fixed. That's what I would do man if your deductible isn't too crazy.

Im with you on the drivers around where I live also. Ive had 2 rocks hit my windshield resulting in damage that I had to have safelite fix. Then my wife slipped and fell into my car one day where I had spilled some water on the garage floor. Basically peoples elbowed it enough to cause a small dent. Then the weedeater incident resulting in me getting a new front bumper and new a/c condensor. I dont know what it is because Ive owned I dont know how many cars now and never had a problem until I buy a brand new car and then stuff starts happening. Plus Im a firm believer that the new federal mandated water based paints dont hold up as well as the solvent based that were used in the past. It definitely scratches a hell of alot easier than cars used to. Or so I think.

Yea the black looks good for about 2 days around here after I wash it and dry it off. Then NC is all sand so my car and wheels etc will be all covered with sand and Ill have to wash it all over again.

The first thing that I did when I bought this car was get my buddy who works at the Nissan dealership to order me some touchup paint for my Altima. I have already had to use it in a good number of spots in the past 2 months.
Paint these days don't hold up too well unless if they have an extra coating like my M35 did. I had that car for over a year without a single rock chip.
Using thinnner metal around the body also makes it a lot easier to dent now as well.

This is why i try park as far away from other people as possible. if i can't, i park next to a really nice car hoping that they understand what it's like to keep a car looking good. But, then you come across the soccer mom who can't control her damn kids as they pile out of the SUV and all doors swing wide open smacking the cars on both sides of it, and she doesn't say anything to the kids about damaging other people's property
