How, in the name of all that is holy do you get those off. It's urgent because my car is currently in pieces in the driveway. Thanks in advance.

On the Q45 there is a metal clip that hold the connector to the CAS, But that clip can be pulled off with tweezers or pliers.

Please let us know what vehicle you are referring to so we can better help you.

Welcome to NICO.

It's a VQ35DE car, but I figured it out. You have to press the back end of the clip in with a screwdriver. I had previously done this, but evidently I had not pressed har enough. I was thrown off because it was unlike every other electrical plug underhood with the exception of, I'm assuming, the other cam sensor, and possibly the crank sensor, and it definitely didn't function like the plugs on any GM product I've ever worked on.

Welcome to Nico Clay Nice rides

Ahh learning the harsh reality of actually fixing these cars. I do not know why the hell they would decide to do that, they used that stupid type of connector on a few things for a few years. They have since decided to remove them and replace that with even worse connector designs.

I was with Nissan when the Frontier fuel sending unit recall first came out (had the same stupid connector), I remember breaking about 1/4 of all the connectors on "northern" cars most of the time it required a good hours worth of soldering to fix for a job that payed <1hr to do R&I the tank and replace the unit with no subsequent time to fix their lack of forward thinking.

If I may ask why were you removing the connector back there?
