No US FGY33 have active suspension, ony the switched shock valves on later models.

I would assume it would be a straight plug in.

Take some time off...

Go have a nice sushi lunch with several Sapporros....make sure to double up on the eel....wear a karate outfit.....preferably ninja black as it will hide the dirt once you dig in...don't forget the sash around your waist and your head....get some ornamental pagodas and set them near the car and your toolbox...light some ceremonial candles...dye hair black...have another Sapporro...take a few pictures...watch Godzilla and have another Sapporro....bow in an honorable manor every time you pass the car...listen to "turning japanese" by the vapors......hook up with a hot little number in a kimono...(make sure she gives you a nice bath first...think "Goldfinger").. or the twins in the Austin Powers movie Sook and Do....have another Sapporro....

I don't know about you, but the above process would have me two-tenths Japanese by the time I was done and maybe even able to read the instructions. And if not you ate good, got hammered and had fun. It's just nuts and bolts right??

What functions does the active supesnion have? Does it come with its own switch/controller? If so, then all you need to find would be a constant 12V and ignition 12V and a ground-right?

Good luck!

Even finding a Japanese translator will be problematic unless he/she is automotive technology literate........................just as many English speakers say the English FSM is Japanese to them.....................a technology literacy problem.

yes my 1997 cima gt VIP edition has the active suspension standard - I found out wht i couldnt get it to work - this was due to the idiot sending me the wrong loom but all the paper work says y33.

Anyone with a 1997 with active suspensin and a ase664 installed car to draw my up a doagram of which plug from the ase664 goes to which plugs on the actsus comp loom... thanks.

Y33 are Cedrics and Glorias, neither of which had active suspension.

Cima is a FY33.

Pays to know the difference, especially if the aftermarket seller doesn't.
