I posted this in the KA forum, but I want to know if this forum will get more replies:
OK, so I just installed a new NISMO transmission mount today on my KA24E and everything looked cool. I started the car fine and began to back out of the driveway. As I backed out, I heard a kind of metal scraping noise. Then as I left the house and stopped, the car was running unusually high RPM (like around 1600-2000). I thought maybe it just needed some gas or something as I was really low. I drove to the gas station and filled up. Now the car won't start. I checked the spark plugs and the coil and everything is tight. I don't know if the transmission mount has anything to do with it or not. The starter is pretty new (about 5000 mi. on it) and I have full battery power as that is new also. Also have a new alternator. Anybody have any idea as to what that sound was or what the hell is going on? I'm assuming whatever is going on, started from that grinding noise. It only lasted like 2 or 3 seconds and then quit. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
