OK, so I just installed a new NISMO transmission mount today and everything looked cool. I started the car fine and began to back out of the driveway. As I backed out, I heard a kind of metal scraping noise. Then as I left the house and stopped, the car was running unusually high RPM (like around 1600-2000). I thought maybe it just needed some gas or something as I was really low. I drove to the gas station and filled up. Now the car won't start. I don't know if the transmission mount has anything to do with it or not. The starter is pretty new (about 5000 mi. on it) and I have full battery power as that is new also. Also have a new alternator. Anybody have any idea as to what that sound was or what the hell is going on? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You mention battery and starter, does the engine turn over but not start? Or does it not turn over at all? If all you did was lower the transmission some to install a new mount that would have no effect on the engine. High idle is usually a symptom of vacuum or fuel related problems.

It's obviously not the starter or anything. It will crank, but it won't turn over. I'm going out in a little while to check spark and fuel. I didn't think it had anything to do with the transmission but it was just such a coincidence that it doesn't start the day I replace the mount.
