Urgent help needed..Rear lift gate stuck

I have a 2008 EX35, I closed my liftgate yesterday without noticing there is a camera bag strap right at where the lock is. When I tried to reopen my liftgate to remove the strap I could not do it anymore. I think the camera bag strap is jammed right at where the lock is. I disconnect the battery terminal and tried to open the liftgate using the manual lever inside the gate, but it did not work as well. Not sure if it is normal or not, I could not push the manual lever all the way to the right (either it does not go all the way to the right, or it is jammed). I tried to push the rear door open from the inside and it did not work as well. What can I do now besides going to the dealer? I have spent hours on this. Help!!!

Yea that was my car...basically you should cut one end of it and pull it out with some force. If you are scared take it to the dealer they may not charge you..guess these things are susceptible to this.

I tried to pull the strap out, but the lock just won't buldge, guess the camera strap is much thicker than the net, and harder to thread it.. dealership bound then, don't even want to speculate how much they are going to charge me for that..

Did you cut one end of the strap? It may be wrapped around the lock that was the case for me.
