Hey guys, i think we lost the timing on the car..

95 KA24DE

We removed the front cover, to get the timing chain guides out, and replaced the intake cam with the 248. All the cams are perfectly lined up.

We re-installed the distributor with the rotor sticking to cyl 1 at TDC, the cams are lined up perfectly, the crank pulley is sitting dead at the TDC mark. and we installed the distributor perfectly set to the picture according to the FSM, the car actually fired, and combusted for 1 second, then turns off, and after that, we are un-able to get it to fire again.

I get Spark, I get fuel, I crank the engine, and nothing happens..

What should i do to get the timing set back to stock... im freaking lost..

Help anyone!!

Ok, an update..

The new intake cam was swapped 2 teeth CCW too far, we advanced the cam 2 teeth CW, and it starts, and runs now..

there is a EXTREME heavy mis-fire, and lots of spuddering. Attempting to find out what is going on now... I dont know if there is too much gas in the oil, if the cylander is flooded... we probably cranked it a good 15-18 times without fire. in 15 second intervals..

Any news guys??
