So I have a not so slight whistle under my hood
car runs perfectly
except for this annoying ringin
Initially I thought it was a pulley or a bearing
went to a mechanic and changed bearing
got the altenator check and thats perfect
im lost for ideas wondering if anyone on here can help me or have encountered a problem like this

here is the video

Could be the tensioner bearing but I'm curious to hear it with the A/c on and then again off. It sort of sounds like the A/C compressor pulley too.

Boy, that would really grind my gears! If I may ask, which bearing did your mechanic replace? Those 2 idler pulleys might be the cause. Although I've experienced a bad A/C compressor and it's a raspy sound even when you turn the A/C off. Just to be sure you could remove the A/C belt and see if the noise stops. That's where my money is

Well, what belt did you remove to make the noise stop? It is something else on that belt, other than what you just changed...
