New to the forum, nice to see a lot of murano fans here.

A used nissan murano with 94000 km, the owner bought it in 9.2008 from a nissan dealer, before that it was leased to the first owner.

He asks for more than 14000 CAD for the truck. and another thousand+ for extended warranty, which he has paid for.

I'm a little worried by a thread here, saying about problematic transmission. If it dies on me, will it be covered by this extended insurance?

also other potential problems that I should watch out for?

I have been told to avoid 2003 model, but maybe it is worth a shot on this one?

I will do a car check, what particular procedure or parts should be done or checked?

thank you guys.I really appreciate it.

I would avoid this Murano. Nissan made several revisions to the drivetrain between 2002 and 2008. Your best bet is to find a 2005, 2006, 0r 2007 model (preferably 2006). The warranties can be risky as well, and when you buy one, specifically ask if it will pay for a $6000 (USD) transmission replacement. I just bought a 2006, I love it, but I ill be buying a drivetrain warranty very soon. Best of luck!!

Take this to a Nissan dealer and have the CVT fluid inspected, (check all fluids while you're there), and check the suspension components for rust. These Muranos (all years) are known for drivers' seat frame failures, but the engines, bodies, and electronics are damn near bullet proof!!!
