Hi guys. 120k miles. We're on vacation. Battery 1 month old. Terminals are tight. I don't have a VM with me but battery has a charge window and shows green. Vehicle sat for 2 days but lights were off and doors closed. Been running fine. Any ideas?

Jumped it and we're ok now but I don't understand why it wouldn't start.

Sometimes bumping up the voltage will overcome a balky brake switch or balky starter. Was the ignition coming on but it wouldn't crank, or did it try to crank but only gave you one big click, or did it try to crank but gave you lots of little clicks? Option 1 is most likely a balky brake switch, option 2 is most likely a starter with bad brushes, and option 3 is most likely a crappy battery connection.

Thanks for the reply Vstar. Symptoms basically looked like a dead battery. No display/gauges, hard to push brake pedal and no crank. Jumped and started and drove it for 10 mins to charge, but after that it said "no key detected". Started by pushing start button with fob. Had no prior low fob battery warning. Even if the fob is low the displays should work, right?

Yep. That sounds like either a bad power connection or your new battery is defective. Even though you're on the road, I'd hit Walmart for a $20 VOM and make sure the charging system is okay, and give your battery terminals a voltage drop test to eliminate camouflaged green crud.
