Urethane foam injection?

haha, that link doesnt go where you want it to, but try the frame rails, and especially the rocker panels. it works too!

hey, when is spl going to release their fom kits? ive been waiting cause i figure it would be better than the stuff from home depot.

oh, and i wouldnt mind being a test dummy either. i can take pics and measure flex....hint hint

it does work, there is test pics of before and after chassis flex just from foaming the rockerpanels on driftpimps.com. youll have to register to see the pics though. i plan on foaming everything i possibly can! besides, it weighs practically nothing, especially compared to a bracing bar.

Dont forget having a little bit of give is what will save your neck and back from being snapped if someone were to hit you from behind.

If it is a track car I wouldn't be too concerned. Although I remember reading SCC Project 300ZX and how they put foam in the rails and got rear-ended. The driver and passenger had excessive whiplash.

Just something to think about.

also, once the foam is injected you cant repair/weld/straighten any damage to that section of the frame...

"totalled" mean anything to you?-chet

Sad to say but unless you got a 97-98 240 SE you're cars gonna be totalled if you get frame damage.

You don't have to wait for SPL to announce their product. Buy it right from the mfg. That's where SCC got theirs for the Z.

they are along the bottom of the door jam. you can remove the plastic cover, and put foam in through there. :)
