Anybody ever looked into UpRev engine management for the 3.5L? They do alot of tuning for the G35, G37, 350, 370, Aramada etc etc. I figure they should be able to do something for our car. At least a 93 Octane tune and new mass air meter etc for custom tuning down the road. Ive already recieved one email from them and just waiting on the email back to see what they could do for my specific year and planned mods etc.

Yep, most of the time I recommend UpRev's tune as its one of the best tunes. Many VQ owners have great succes.

I know u were asking about the 3.5 but i have a 2.5 turbo and im tuned with uprev. i love it and see no problem why an uprev certified shop wouldnt be able to tune your car! Go to uprevs site and fine a local authorized tuner in your state. There is only 1 in my state.

Good luck and good gains

Anyone have a uprev tune for just intake, exhaust, etc. No turbo for the 3.5L. Im just wandering if its worth the throttle response or any horsepower gain at all on a n/a car. I know tuning without power adders doesnt always provide much gain. Is the money worth a flash?

I've corresponded with them and was actually going to drive down to Austin to get a tune by them but other larger upgrades are taking my attention away from it until a later date. But from what I can tell, it would be worth it in taking off speed limiter and having full throttle at high end speeds.

Appreciate the advice. There are two installers located within an hour drive time from me so Im gonna be calling them within the next couple weeks and see what they have to say about the tunes and process. One place is National Speed in Wilmington, NC and I know for a fact they do good work.

Definitely worth it with simple bolt-ons. Its the whole point of getting the car tuned..to be able to use it at its full potential.

Sucks being in AL. I don't think there's anywhere I can get an UpRev tune that's geographically convenient in ANY way. haha

On a side note... UpRev or a BullyDog Triple Dog GT tuner?

UpRev > BullyDog since UpRev is a REAL tune based upon your mods.

However, BullyDog is still great IMO. It defiantly adds some power if you're on a budget.

Henson is very newly added to that stack. I remembered looking a good while ago and giving up on it. Thanks for pointing that out dldjros.

I own the UpRev Tuner package that allows you to tune on the fly etc. It's excellent. You can tune for N/A as well.

Any questions? Ask me.
