Im in the process of setting up a group buy for a pro circuit oil pan for ca18det with multiple swinging doors, baffled pickup, absolute crazy, beutifuly crafted nonsense.

Its not cheap, in the range of 900 usd.

"We have not had the opportunity to develop a full range of CA18 oil pans. We have only developed a top level Pro-Circuit model that would be ideal for serious circuit racing or drift applications. This specification is way above an ARC or Trust design. The Pro Circuit design oil pan has multiple swinging gates or valves to control oil flow in any situation as well as baffles to help catch oil coming off the crankshaft. Our pans are currently being used in Drift Racing in Australia with excellent results"

serious inquiries only please, if interested I can email you a copy of the conversation I had with one of the high energy staff, pictures of example pans included.

3 people will get us the discounted price of 1000 aud.

I built my own pan, cost me approx 40 hrs and maybe $10 in materials. Good luck!

I didn't really have a choice. I had to fab a custom rear sump pan to fit the CA into the MG and one off prices for such things are far out of my price range.

That would be awesome, seeing as my oil pan has a massive dent in it. Too bad I have much more pressing matters to spend my money on.

For $900, you may as well not even offer that to these guys as most are just trying to get their cars to run right. Build yourself one and let us know how it turns. Not knocking the effects of a well-built performance sump, but the CA is not one that suffers from a poorly designed oil pan. After 11 years and having built over 20 different CA motors at almost all levels, but hey, anything's possible. Good luck with the inquiry.............

yes I understand the CA is the poor mans motor, but there are people out there as serious as me about taking it to another level.

I mainly had giallo spyder met in mind when posting this thread, but Im not sure what his plans are for his car in terms of motorsport.

I do track my car, and enjoy sliding it as well therefore I feel that I could benefit from this pan. That and the fact that I have 3 motors, Im trying to look at it as 300.00 per motor.

I mean, you only need three people. I'm not in a position to buy one, but thats because Ive got an appt. to have my car tuned on the 30th, and I just bought a very expensive road bike.

Seriously?! Thats what I do in NH!!! You guys have the nicest biking roads! The loop around Lake Soonipi is like 37mi, and its lots of rolling hills. Freaking fantastic. We are totally gonna kick it hardcore this August.

You don't happen to have a bada$s custom automotive fabrication shop and need the help of two new employees, one a certified machinist, and the other a certified GTAW welder do you?

not at this point in my life, but thats the plan over the course of the coming years.

thas cool, do you guys get all geared up in tight spandex and shi t, helmets, camelbacks etc...

cause I just smoke one, hop on bicycle in a T-shirt, some windpants or shorts and my clip in pedals - and send that bitc h.

im the equivalent of a squid on a road bike, serious cyclist pass me and prolly laugh to themselves.

My lungs are too caked in soot and bong resin to cycle with the serious guys. You should invest in some good bike shorts though, the pad for your taint is totally indespensible.

I met some hotties who were road biking up there in NH last time I went. Can't argue with hotties who keep in excellent shape by exercising for hours a day.

When you are ready to open that shop, hit me up. Building roll cages and engines and re-doing suspension geometry for Group N rally cars and whatnot is something I could see myself doing for the rest of my life. At least, I could see myself doing it for other people until I was fantastically wealthy, and then just doing it for a select few people.

your car could be sideways at over 1g lateral force, backwards, in a wheelie, on its roof and your oil pump is still going to be picking up a nice solid stream of oil to send to your engines internal vitals.

the benefits are numerous, along with increased oil capacity.

When you get it in, take tons of high resolution pics from every angle, so I can make my own rip off for like $75.

I used to ride a lot here in Germany. Miles on Miles on Miles of bike trails. Freaking beautiful. Now I have two road bikes, and two nice mountain bikes collecting dust.

Sorry to the OP for messing up his thread. Hey R34 when you make your 75 dollar oil pan send us pics of the trail of oil you leave behind your car

so since my measurement are all off and im remaking mounts ....my big question is ......will this oil pan give me more clearance over the steering rack ??........or will it just add the bigg tank in the front of the stock one ?

the welds on that Ebay pan look like crap. and 900 for a pan that will be a stock pan with a extra big sump area just welded on with some doors is crazy. i could see 200-250.00 for a modified stock pan. but for 900 i would want something made from aluminum using a completely custom pan with a machined flange and all the bells and whistles.

does anyone have a spare CA18 pan or two they want to sell really cheap? dented pans are fine. ill try making a cheap pan with a baffles and trap door setup.

Jon
