Hey my upper strut mounts in the front are pretty much torn to shreds. Once I have the spring/strut assembly compressed with the spring compressor, how do I remove the mount? Thanks.

If you're talking about the top bearing mount, the stock rubber ones, you just remove the top nut and pull them off if I remember correctly.

The problem is that the strut shaft wants to rotate when you try to unscrew the top nut. You're going to need a friend to help you with this. I put a rag around the shaft for protection then clamped a pair of vise-grips around it so I could hold the strut with my foot on it and keep it, the shaft, from spinning while my friend took off the top nut. Just be careful and don't clamp the shaft too tight to were you would bend or crush it. After we finished, mine didn't have a scratch on it.

Alright cool. So clamping the strut with the vice grips is the way to go? I just dont want to mess up my struts. Also what is the torque spec on that nut?

I'm sure someone will chime in on a better way to do it, that's just the rudimentary way that we did it but it worked. Like I said before, put something around the shaft and don't set your grips too tight. You just need enough force to hold it steady.
