I was hoping you could help me w/ a problem! My 97 J is losing water from a short hose that connects to the block (i think it connects to the block). The top hose comes off the radiator and connects to some aluminum and back to a sshort hose just before the block. I was wondering if you knew what that hose is called? It is centered over the top of the fan belt shiv. ANy direction or help you can give regarding access and proper identification (part name/number) would be greatly appreciated!

really? the short one between the aluminum piece and the block? i know the long one off the top of the radiator is called the upper, but the little piece in back next to the block that is mega hard to reach i thought was different... sorry, not to be persistent, but just want to clarify. also if you know what i have to remove to get to it, that would be super helpful too..

thanks!

Are you sure its not the water pump thats leaking? That just looks like a straight piece of hose, id just take it off and get some of the right ID from autozone or something.

Wes,

Fixed it. Turns out it was that clip that should be sealing it. It was brittle and weak so I threw a hose clamp on it and it's tighter than d!ck hatband now.

Thanks for your help!
