Is this an interference engine? Customer installed upper/outer timing chain himself and now has ZERO COMPRESSION, can not fine anywhere about this, can anyone answer this please. He said he's getting spark, and fuel, but cranks over faster than normal, and zero compression or very little in all cylinders Thanks for your time Scott

yep, bent the valves, i bent twelve once and got more than zero

maybe he bent 16.... that would happen if you kept cranking a poorly aligned engine

yes its an interference engine, and you might as well find him a used head.

hes gonna be pissed when he hears the head needs to be taken off, headgasket replaced (and others), new valves for roughly 250 dollars, a valve cut and lap, and a head rebuild....

what do you charge for something like that? 1200? it cost me ZERO to do mine. i had used valves from a trashed block, and i had a friend that didnt want me sleepin at his girlfriends house anymore so he cut them at his school for free...

sorry for wasting your time, but did you check to make sure the cams are actually in the right alignment? at TDC the lobes of the first cyl should be facing away from each other almost directly (unless you are on the wrong stroke) but only this and bent valves cause a fast crank-no start condition
