Pretty simple... Only takes about 15 mins you may even be able to do it without taking of the wheel, just jack it way up... Still best to take the wheel off obviously...

Just undo both bolts and R/R.. be sure to put the side with the dot facing out..

You may need a breaker bar to get the bolts loose if they are original. Can be tough with just a regular rachet handle.

About every 2-3 link replacements [every 100k] consider the kingpin bearings as being worn, just as the tension rods have a life of 60k.Lots depends on local road conditions.

Constant battle to keep the front suspension as new because of the ease of changing things [few mount points--just a few bolts].

A ARM [wishbone] type have that extra bolt to take half the load.

Last twice as long but cost twice [even 4x LS400-LS430] as much to change.

Sorry to thread hijack.

Ive got Jesda's 1992 q45.

The front passenger makes the squeaky noise from the upper link. The front wheel is also very badly cambered in. I was assuming to change out the bushings. But apparently just change the complete upper link? What would you guys suggest?

I would like to replace all the wearable parts on the front suspension. Bushings, and whatever links and kingpins previously described.

I guess its time to surf energy suspension, to see what bushings are available to the q.

You have to replace the whole arm, the bushings arent serviceable.
