Need to start looking for an upgrade bushing for that. :gotme I don't even drive my car hard either.

Anyone experience anything similar?

Nice.... just worn out.

I tried to get VF engineering make that mount for the Versa. They did not want to make a mount for the Versa, or any Nissan's for that matter. They Rocked for my VW and SVT-F

Looks like your best option is to get new OEM... if you want to make it stiffer, you can do what the SRT4 guys do. They pack the mount with urethane to make it stronger. Check out there forums, they have a cheap solution.

Good luck

I was surprised that it happened this soon especially with the main engine mount located beneath this one. Looks like I might go the urethane route. If that doesn't work then I'll go ahead and buy a new one. May try it this weekend or the next.

Mine's not cracked at all at 49k but I went ahead and did the window urethane trick on it since it's a small mount and really easy to remove. It doesn't even support the engine. I think it just helps with the rocking motion under torque. I've done this before to all the mounts in my Neon and if done properly, it works REALLY well. It added vibes at idle but nothing insane and there was a huge difference with the automatic engaging into gear and shifting. Just make sure you clean the mount real well (brake cleaner and dish soap works) and when you're filling it, keep packing it to make sure there will be no air pockets in it and make sure you have some downtime. 48 hours is recommended for this much urethane to completely cure. I used 3M Windo-Weld for this. I got it from AutoZone. I recommend a good caulk gun. It's a super PITA to squeeze out. I actually ordered an air powered caulk gun because it's that hard to squeeze out (and for any other caulking projects I may run into) and I have a giant air compressor so why not use it? I'll get pics of it installed tomorrow  . Letting it sit out to cure overnight again then I'll install it and drive off. Doubt there will be much difference if any not being a main mount :gotme

Nice work, I actually ended up ordering a new mount anyway but will also do the urethane trick on the old one since it is easy to swap out.

Well let me just say that little mount absorbs more vibes than I thought. I can definitely feel it now when I have it in drive with my foot on the brake and a/c on. I'm gonna drill a few holes in the urethane to try and soften it back up a bit.

Remember to start small and then go slowly go bigger on the drill bits.

The same thing happened to my car

You can find my post on it in this forum lol

I have less than 35,000 miles and mine was completely broken too! I've replaced it but overtorqued the rod that ties this mount to the chassis at the strut tower area and the bolt is completely stripped. IDK how to fix it :(

Did you strip the bolt or nut? You may be able to replace the part that you stripped.

Bolt is easy to replace, the other not so much. Pictures tell a thousand words...Not really but you get the idea :gapteeth:

I received the actual engine mount instead of the arm. Should get here before the weekend, then I will fill my old one with urethane.

I'd like to see some pictures of the urethane application and how to do it (tech idea).

Didn't get pics of the process but it's straight forward. Just tape off one side of the mount completely and start filling it in the other side and packing it as you go. The most important thing actually is to make sure you don't have a wimpy caulk gun. Windshield urethane is thick stuff and the $2 Walmart gun does not work at all for this stuff. I near busted one of those cheap things just doing that ONE mount.

I still haven't gotten the chance to fill my old one up with eurethane, but reading from your thread your symptoms were noticably negative. My Versa has the cvt transmission and couldn't feel any difference when driving with the broken mount like yours did.

I have a used 2007 Versa S with 90K on it (bought it at 78K) and the torque mount on mine is gouged out far worse than yours. I was at an auto repair shop getting the A/C recharged (it holds 1 lb of freon, they added 1/2 lb) and the mechanic pointed it out.

I have been looking all over Google but unable to find this part. Where did you get it?

Nobody has pointed this out, but according to the shop, there is an upper torque mount and also a lower torque mount somewhere on the back side of the engine *AND* they are supposed to be replaced in pairs per Nissan. I have yet to lift the car and look, but I imagine it is not *too* difficult to get to because they wanted to charge me the same price for each, $200 per torque mount.

You have to get this part through the stealership. I bought mine for $75 from another nissan forum member that use to work for the Nissan parts department before the stealership closed down. To be honest, I didn't find a need to replace any of the other ones since they're all still in excellent condition visually. I'll leave that up to your discretion if you'd like to replace both per Nissan.

Ok, found at least one source online, courtesyparts.com, which appears to merely be a dealership named Courtesy Nissan of Texas. Since the part doesn't appear to be too expensive, and the mechanic found it, I likely will just buy the part from them. It's going to result in a bit of a markup, but it's also worth rewarding them for a job well done.

Looking at http://www.courtesyparts.com/versa-hatc ... _6389.html, I don't see a rear/lower torque mount. I see the rear engine mount, though, so I suspect he was talking about the (oil filled and expensive) engine mounts instead of the torque mount that's right up top.

I would try your local Nissan parts department first to compare prices. I have experienced each dealership pricing parts differently, might be more convenient to pick it up local. As for the rear lower torque mount, I double checked under my car after responding to your post the other day and there looks like it's a bar connected to what looks like the starter or something on the rear side of the engine. The other end was bolted onto the cross member, not sure if that's what is considered to be the lower torque mount.

Could it be part number 11360 that is considered the lower torque mount perhaps? According to the diagram on courtesyparts.com, it is connected to the transmission from the look of it.
