I just want to say that it's really nice that your club has given me the opportunity to answer questions about upholstery and carpet. I do this on other sites too, and I am delighted to include yours and offer my 38 years of auto upholstery experience to your members. Please feel free to ask about any upholstery items like seats, door panels, carpeting, headliners, or any other upholstered item in your car. I will do my best to give you correct information and how-to tips on installation. I may be able to save you some money on supplies as well. I look forward to all your posts and will help in any way I can. Best Regards,Ron Fryer

Nice to see you are local to me at least!! later this week I'll inquire about pricing on carpet and seat kits for the car and I'm also interested in seat kits for my Toyota tacoma.

We're very glad to have you aboard, and hopefully if you have a will-call setup so i can pick up parts?

Thanks for the warm welcome. It's nice to be here. I do have regular hours- 9:00 to 5:00 M-F. You are more than welcome to stop by and visit, but the carpet is shipped in from the East coast, so it is usually better to have it shipped directly to you rather than have it shipped here and then have you pick it up. Either way, there will be shipping costs involved. If you want to contact me directly, you can call me during business hours at (360) 574-8070 ot email [email protected] . Best Regards,Ron

When i got my car a new '93 240SX SE , many years ago, they offer me at the dealer a leather kit for the seats, it was just some kind of cover whith door and globe box inserts; do you know if there is something similar now?Do you make some kind for original seats?

What was offered to you at the dealer sounds like a leather upgrade kit like the kind that Katzkin makes. They still have the pattern listed and it includes additional material for the door panel inserts. It does not show a glove box door cover, but we could make one here if you need it. Are you wanting to replace what you have now? Do you need front seats only or front and rear? There is also an option that has leather fronts and vinyl rears. Let me know what you want and I will try to get you the best possible price for it.Best Regards,Ron

I have found few, (if any) upgrades make a car feel newer and more enjoyable than new upholstery.

The Katzkin leather seat kit for the front seats only is $507.00. For the full set, it's $707.00. There is also a set that has leather front seats and all vinyl rear seats for $587.00. Both kits come with material for the door inserts. Let me know what you decide.Best Regards,Ron

I'm interested in vinyl for my ripped and torn leather driver's seat. It isnt heavily in demand, but considering the resale value of my car, it seems to be the most reasonable way to go.

If you offer any vinyl products, please drop me an email!

These kits are just to be fitted over old cover or you have to strip fabric before?Once I took out the covers to laundry and it was hard to glue them again, but it worth it because most 240 i have seen the covers are so lossed and with many wrinkles on; mine looks very nice still but fabric is worn at shoulder lever. How much freigth to 78526 and how to make an order? Thanks rcfryer!

Hello Richard. There is no dash cap for your car so your choices are to have a vinyl repair man do is thing on it, have it restored using the process that Just Dashes uses (we can help with that) or finding a good used one and dye it to the color you need. The restoration process repairs or replaces the foam then vacuums on a new molded vinyl skin. The result is a dash pad that looks very original but is slightly harder than the original. These are seamless and look very nice, and will stand up to the scrutiny of a Concourse Judge. I hope this helps.Best Regards,Ron

Hello Jesda. Can you email me a picture of your damaged seat? I may have some leftover leather that I could use and repair it for the price of vinyl. If not, I can still use vinyl. Email the picture to [email protected] and I will get back to you with a quote.Best Regards,Ron

Hello Ralphdig. The seat upholstery I handle replaces the original upholstery which must be removed before you can install the new stuff. There are pullers that need to be fastened to the wires in the foam and this cannot be done with the old upholstery still on the seats. If the centers are glued and you risk destroying the foam, you can cut the seams where the pullers go and leave the cloth in place, but you should remove the surrounding materials or they will leave bumps that will show. Freight should be in the $25.00 neighborhood. Call me to place an order. (360) 574-8070. I accept major credit cards.Best Regards,Ron

Changing out the upholstery is fairly easy. I have reupholstered several interiors as well, and it's a pretty self-explanatory process.

We'll walk you through it.
